8th Forum of Russian and Belarusian Regions Opened

The 8th Forum of Russian and Belarusian Regions opened on 29 June 2021 under the theme “Scientific and Technological Cooperation Between Russia and Belarus in the Era of Digitalisation.”

The event is being attended by heads of ministries, agencies, governmental bodies, enterprises and organizations, and also by members of the business communities of Russia and Belarus.

The Russian Academy of Sciences will be represented at the Forum, with papers being delivered at the sessions on “Areas of developing Russia-Belarus cooperation in science, scholarship, and education at the time of ‘great challenges’ and digital technologies”; “The role of digitalization in creating a single scientific and technological space of the Union State”; “Improving Russia-Belarus interactions on implementing union programs and scientific and technological projects under international agreements”; “Law and digitalization in the Union State: prospects and directions”; the speakers will include Arutyun Avetisyan, RAS Academician, RAS Deputy President, Director of the Ivannikov Institute for System Programming of the RAS; Vladimir Ivanov, Deputy President of the RAS, Corresponding Member of the RAS; Feodor Voitolovsky, Corresponding Member of the RAS, Director of the Primakov Institute of World Economy and International Relations of the RAS, and other scientists and scholars.
